  • takes my pencils.
  • Dosen't let me concentrate when you are speaking.
she bothers me soso so so so so much.

Miss Brave I want you to change the Mean Girl's seat.

(And just in case it wasn't clear...)

Good for him, standing up for himself like that! Awesome.

So, I feel bad for the kid, and assume you will move his place.

But what about MG? She sounds awful, but I also feel bad for her - she's on a bad course. Is there anything that might help her make better choices? Or just nothing immediate?

Wow, I'm impressed with him! Way to stand up for himself and in an appropriate way!

The student who wrote me the letter is going to a gifted and talented program next year :) When I was a cluster teacher, I taught his kindergarten class and blogged about him then too: http://missbrave.blogspot.com/2008/04/raisin-in-sun.html He's the boy who could taste the raisin "all the way down to his toes!"

As for the Mean Girl...I have had multiple serious conversations with her (and her mother) about her behavior. She is the only student in my class who's in real danger of being held over, and it's at least partly due to the fact that she talks SO MUCH that her work just doesn't get done.
